We have offered Vet Tech services for a number of years at Lympstone, but now have an increased range of services available – another great benefit of joining Synergy Farm Health.
Current services:
- Mobility Scoring – utilise our RoMs accredited scorers to routinely monitor your herd and keep one step ahead of lameness. Synergy have bespoke computer software which creates scoring reports, that allow an action list to be left on farm, highlighting cows needing attention.
- Vaccinating – we offer a storage and administration service to help manage and administer vaccines on farm. Whether it be annual boosters administered alongside other management tasks, such as TB testing, or specific visits to vaccinate youngstock. Our Vet Techs provide a cost effective and timely vaccinating service.
- Calf Disbudding – Aiming to minimise discomfort and stress our Vet Techs are highly skilled and experienced in disbudding. We are commonly seen out supporting our vets with ‘Knock Down’ disbuds.
Synergy Farm Health has a well established team of clinical vet techs and foot trimmers, that have a particular expertise in cattle lameness control. The team has a huge depth of agricultural experience, as well as equipment to provide a quality service on farm. - Foot Trimming – all our foot trimmers hold a Level 3 Diploma in Trimming certificate, as well as a wealth of knowledge and experience.
Yet one of the biggest benefits to utilizing this service is that the equipment needed include modern, mobile hydraulic trimming crushes and a turn over trimming crush can be also be provided. Lameness lesions are recorded and reported for your routine vet and for you to use on farm.
- Freeze Branding – Visits are usually included on a ‘round’ to maximise the use of dry ice and to reduce the cost to you. Our experienced Vet Techs are able to brand large
numbers in one session or smaller numbers for those that may have been purchased unbranded. - Cattle Weighing & Handling – equipped with our own digital weigh plate which can be placed in many on farm handling systems as well as our own mobile crush. It’s an efficient use of time, recording a cow’s ID and reporting results via email directly to the farmer.
- Mobile Sheep Dipping – our plunge dipping service with Gold Fleece sheep dip prevents and treats Blowfly strike, Ticks, Keds, Lice and Sheep Scab infestations. All excess sheep dip is removed from site for licensed disposal.
