Kat is enthusiastic about all aspects of farm animal medicine, particularly small ruminants. She is also interested in calf and heifer rearing. |

Kat has over 20 years of veterinary experience. She joined Kingfisher Vet Practice in 2004 from Bristol University' s Veterinary School where she had spent the previous 7 years working as a clinical lecturer in Farm Animal Medicine. There she ran a busy farm animal hospital, taught final year veterinary undergraduates and undertook herd and flock health investigations. Kat has also spent 8 years in UK veterinary practice, and 5 years working with Britain's overseas development programme in the South Pacific and Java.
Kat is enthusiastic about all aspects of farm animal medicine and is particularly interested in small ruminants. Through her farm animal hospital work she gained experience of the work-up and intensive treatment of individual animals, including camelids.
Kat and her family have a smallholding south of Crewkerne with a small herd of British White cattle, five coloured Shetland sheep and two horses. Her husband is also a vet.
