Jereme has been making slow progress all week. There are undoubtedly good days and bad days as the brain responds and heals in its particularly sensitive way. Some of this leads to severe headaches and confusion whilst other days see improvements in recognition, speech and movement. He receives regular physio sessions through the week. He can drink his protein shakes with a straw unaided and eats with a little help.
Jereme has now left ICU and is now in the High Dependency Ward 3 and visiting times which are restricted to 2-30-4-30 and 6-30-8-30 are pretty busy for him. Andrew visited and managed to score 3 bugger words before being rejected again with a headache and the need for sleep! But it was certainly good to see the real old Jereme was definitely still there. Martin and Hunter amidst some garbled nonsense got lots of the old humour along with the cheeky smile!
Sally, Louise and Lorna continue to be amazed by his progress and along with Robert and all the family and all of us at Synergy again thank everybody Doctors, Nurses, Paramedics and Air Ambulance and all you friends for all the great work and support.
We would also like to take the opportunity to let you know that Alastair Hayton is making very good progress at home following his recent op. A bit sore and a little bored and probably driving Rachel and the children mad but doing well!
Baby James Henry Reader is also doing very well and not keeping Jon and Bridget too disturbed at night we hope!
Again thank you for all the notices of support on the website. Some people have asked if they are able to get a card to Jereme. We are happy for you to send these to the practice and we will make sure that he gets them. Lorna is visiting regularly and has been passing on cards as well reading them out to him.
Thanks for all your continuing support and comments. The Synergy Practice address is available by clicking here.
We thank you for your understanding and support through a very difficult period.
